Vance Demands GOP Unity, Praises Trump Wins, 2.5M Deported

Vice President J.D. Vance used his AmericaFest 2025 appearance to push for GOP unity, highlight the administration’s policy wins, and call the party to organize for the 2028 fight.

At AmericaFest 2025 in Phoenix, Vice President J.D. Vance delivered a blunt message: stop the internal fights and get to work expanding the party. He framed unity as a practical necessity, not just a virtue, arguing that Republicans need to recruit and welcome more voters into the movement. The tone was forward-looking, focused on growth and readiness for the next national contest.

Vance pointed to the first-year accomplishments of the Trump administration as proof that conservative governance produces tangible results. He cited deporting about 2.5 million people, ending taxes on social security, and ending the border crisis as major wins that change everyday life for Americans. Those claims formed the backbone of his pitch that policy, not purity tests, will win elections and better people’s lives.

The vice president said Republicans are assembling a team to meet Democrats head-on in 2028, and he invited people from across backgrounds to join. He urged party members to build one another up instead of tearing people down, stressing that inclusion is strategic as well as moral. Vance framed that outreach as essential to converting policy successes into long-term political gains.

He made the appeal personal and pointed, insisting the party is open to Americans from every walk of life. “We don’t care if you’re white or black, rich or poor, young or old, rural or urban, controversial or a little bit boring, or somewhere in between,” Vance said. “People of every faith come to our banner because they know that the America First movement will make their lives better, and they also know that the Democrats don’t care about anything other than maybe transing their kids.”

Vance argued enforcement on immigration would have immediate economic benefits at home, lowering housing costs and increasing job opportunities for citizens. He tied immigration policy to wages and inflation, saying that the economic picture is improving under Republican leadership. Then he turned from statistics to principles, contrasting his party’s approach with progressive priorities.

“Real wages are finally growing. Inflation is half of what it was under Democrats,” Vance said. “Gas prices are the lowest in years, and we have finally made that in the United States. We believe in hard work and merit. Unlike the Left, we don’t treat anybody differently because of their race or their sex. So we have relegated DEI to the dustbin of history, which is exactly where it belongs.

Vance did not spare his criticisms of leading Democrats, singling out potential rivals on the national stage by name. He took aim at California figures and other coastal politicians who, he said, represent a different set of priorities than most Americans. That line of attack tied back to his central theme: Republicans offer practical solutions while the Left chases cultural obsessions.

The speech also included sharp criticism of state officials accused of mismanagement, with Vance pointing to a Minnesota scandal as an example of failed governance. He said the state’s leadership allowed criminals to steal about $9 billion from 14 social benefit programs, using that case to argue for accountability and stronger oversight. That line reinforced his message that conservative reforms are not just ideological but aimed at protecting taxpayers.

Across the event, Vance mixed policy specifics with plainspoken appeals, trying to give the party a coherent argument it can present to voters. He emphasized recruitment, discipline, and follow-through, arguing Republicans need to translate victories into durable political power. The speech was a reminder that the party’s next steps will be judged by results and by whether it can expand its coalition without losing its core identity.
