‘Mayor of Kingstown’ Heads to Netflix as Final Season Nears

Fans of “Mayor of Kingstown” who don’t subscribe to Paramount+ now have another way to watch. Multiple seasons of the Jeremy Renner-led crime drama began streaming on Netflix starting Monday, October 5.

The move comes as the show heads toward its fifth and final season, which has not yet been given a release date. Production on the final season wrapped in early July. For comparison, Season 4 finished filming in early June 2025 and premiered on October 26, 2025.

Given Paramount+’s packed 2026 lineup — which includes the return of “MobLand,” upcoming seasons of “Tulsa King” and “Dexter: Resurrection” later this month, and the final season of “Yellowjackets” in November — Season 5 of “Mayor of Kingstown” is likely to land in December 2026 or early 2027.

The final season will run eight episodes and centers on the arrival of FBI agent Russell Hardy, played by David Morse, who comes to Kingstown following the murder of Mike McLusky’s (Renner) sister-in-law. According to Paramount, Hardy’s presence “threatens to disrupt the tenuous balance of power in Kingstown.”

Nestor Carbonell joins the cast for the final season as Enrique Molina, described as a boss who comes to Kingstown to avenge a relative who has gone missing. Returning cast members include Edie Falco, Laura Benanti, Hugh Dillon, Taylor Handley, Tobi Bamtefa, Derek Webster, David Morse, Necar Zadegan, Nichole Galicia, and Lennie James.

The first four seasons remain available on Paramount+, which offers an ad-supported Essential plan for $8.99 a month and an ad-free Premium plan, which includes Showtime titles and live CBS, for $13.99 a month. The service can also be added through Hulu or Amazon accounts for $13.99 a month, with free trials available for new subscribers through those platforms.
