Milania Giudice, 20, daughter of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice, posted a birthday tribute to her sister Gabriella on social media Sunday, months after Gabriella reportedly called 911 on her during a family dispute at their mother’s home in Montville Township, New Jersey.
Gabriella turned 22 on Sunday. According to TMZ, she was the family member who called 911 during the May incident, telling authorities that Milania was “acting erratically” and “throwing food and candles.”
In her post, Milania wrote that Gabriella “really are the best sister I could ever ask for” and called her “genuinely one of the smartest people I know.” She added, “I’ve put you through a lot over the years, and I know I haven’t always made being my sister easy, but you’ve always been there for me, accepted me, and loved me through everything.”
She also referenced a long-running family joke, writing, “I’ve always told you that you’re literally Cinderella in real life, and even with the black hair now, I still stand by it.” The post included throwback photos featuring Gabriella alongside sisters Gia, 25, and Audriana, 17, as well as parents Teresa and Joe Giudice, both 54.
Gabriella replied in the comments, “I love you so much,” and Teresa wrote, “Happy Birthday @gabriella.giudice Love you.”
The May Arrest
Montville Township Police responded to a reported dispute at the residence on May 14. Court records show officers detained Milania at 6:12 p.m.
Montville Township Police Chief Andrew Caggiano said in a statement that Milania was “charged on a summons complaint with one count of Simple Assault, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C: 12-1a(1) a Disorderly Persons Offense.”
“A criminal complaint is merely an accusation,” Caggiano said. “Despite this accusation, the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until she has been proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.”
Milania pleaded not guilty and was released pending a court appearance. That hearing has reportedly been postponed until Dec. 1.
Airport Incident in Florida
The birthday post also comes weeks after Teresa alleged, in bodycam footage from an encounter with officers at Tampa International Airport, that Milania “had fentanyl in her system.” In the footage, Milania responded, “Cause I was laced … I go to college,” and Gia told her, “You’re reckless.” It is unclear when the incident occurred or what substance Milania was allegedly given.
After the footage became public, Teresa posted a lengthy statement asking for privacy for her daughter.
“Milania has experienced tremendous heartbreak and significant psychological trauma after losing two of her best friends,” Teresa wrote. “Grief affects everyone differently, and watching your child try to process that kind of loss is something no parent can ever truly prepare for.”
“I am asking, from one mother to another, and from one family to all of you, to please show Milania compassion and kindness and allow her the privacy she needs right now,” Teresa added, thanking those who had reached out with support.
