Illinois Woman Sues Downtown Las Vegas Bar Over Injury on Mechanical Bull Ride

An Illinois woman has filed a lawsuit against a downtown Las Vegas bar, alleging she was injured while riding its mechanical novelty attraction known as the “World Famous Gyrating Johnson Mechanical Member Bull ride.”

The complaint, filed last week in Clark County District Court, was brought by Amber Zabran against The Nerd, the downtown bar that operates the ride. According to the filing, Zabran was hurt when “her foot and/or ankle got caught under the main shaft area of the ride where there is a large cut-out section.”

The lawsuit states the incident occurred on Nov. 22, 2025. Zabran says she and her friends were never asked to sign waivers before getting on the ride, which is advertised on the bar’s website with the challenge to “ride it, slide it, stay on top” as an operator attempts to knock riders off.

Per the complaint, Zabran suffered “great pain of body and mind, including serious and painful physical injuries, as well as shock and injury to her nervous system entailing mental stress, anxiety and anguish.”

The lawsuit seeks special and actual damages, medical expenses and attorney’s fees, according to 8 News Now, which first reported on the filing.
