Palatine police are asking for the public’s help locating Alyssa Smith, 24, who has been missing since Sept. 30 after taking a trip to Chicago with her boyfriend.
Smith’s mother, Rebecca Smith, told Fox News Digital that her daughter’s boyfriend, Jacob Ray Caso, returned home from Chicago without Alyssa. Caso has not been accused of any crime or wrongdoing. He later reshared a missing persons poster for Smith on social media, writing, “Time to come home. No one is mad at you.”
The Palatine Police Department said detectives have been actively investigating since receiving the missing-person report and are following up on information about possible sightings of Smith.
According to police, reports indicate Smith may have been seen on Saturday, Oct. 3, in the Grant Park area of Chicago and near Cicero Avenue and Roosevelt Road, an intersection that runs through Cicero. Investigators are working to verify those sightings and gather more information on her current location.
Smith appears to work at a Chipotle, according to her social media account. She is described as a White female, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing between 135 and 140 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She has several body piercings and numerous tattoos, including a “Pennywise” clown tattoo on her left shoulder.
At the time she went missing, Smith was believed to be wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, light khaki-colored pants or sweatpants, and white Adidas sneakers.
Anyone who spots Smith or has information about her whereabouts is asked to contact local law enforcement or call 911.
