Savannah Chrisley Announces Engagement and Pregnancy, Reveals Fiancé Is Her Father's Former Prison Acquaintance

Savannah Chrisley announced this week that she is engaged and expecting a child, sharing the news with a lengthy message describing her fiancé as “my protector. My fiercest fighter. My most loyal person. My lover. My safe place.”

The reality television personality, known to Georgia audiences through her family’s long-running show, had initially kept her partner’s identity private, referring to him only as “J” on Instagram and “Jason” on her podcast. He was soon identified as Jason Galanis, 56.

Galanis proposed with a striking ring made by Nicole Genovese of Genovese Jewelers, who shared photos of the piece online. The ring centers on a large oval-cut diamond flanked by two half-moon diamonds, set in rose gold with a pavé shank. Chrisley has also been photographed wearing a matching eternity band with prong-set oval diamonds in the same rose gold setting.

Ajay Anand, CEO and founder of Rare Carat, told Page Six Style he estimates the center stone at 15 to 18 carats, with the side stones around 2 carats each. “Assuming this is a high-quality natural diamond, potentially even D Flawless, I would estimate the ring’s retail value to be upwards of $1.5 million, potentially significantly higher depending on its exact specifications and certification,” Anand said.

Chrisley has said the couple met last summer and that Galanis proposed about five months into their relationship, in December 2025 during a trip to the Cayman Islands. On her podcast, she recounted what he told her as he presented the ring: “Before I open this, I just want you to know that this is just an expression of love to you. This can be whatever you want it to be. This can be an engagement ring, a promise ring, a cocktail ring for all I care. I just want you to know how much I love you.”

A connection through her father

Galanis has a notable connection to the Chrisley family beyond the engagement: he served time in prison alongside Savannah’s father, Todd Chrisley, who was convicted of financial fraud. Galanis himself has been convicted of running multiple financial fraud schemes. President Trump commuted Galanis’s sentence and separately pardoned Todd Chrisley, which eliminated Chrisley’s unpaid restitution obligations.

The couple has said they plan to marry in May 2027.
