Cardinals Safety Budda Baker Addresses Trade Rumors in Clown Costume Ahead of Halloween

Arizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker showed up to his media availability dressed as an evil clown a day before Halloween, then found himself fielding questions about trade rumors while still in costume.

According to the New York Post, dressing up for Halloween is an annual tradition for Baker. This year, though, the timing coincided with growing speculation that the Cardinals could become sellers ahead of the NFL trade deadline, with Baker’s name among those mentioned.

Reporters asked him about the rumors anyway, and Baker answered while still wearing the mask.

“I just live in the present, like today, having a great time with you guys,” Baker said. “Going to go out and have a great Friday practice, and just focus on playing against the Dallas Cowboys and trying to get a ‘W’ at their stadium.”

Baker’s comments suggest he is keeping his focus on the Cardinals’ upcoming matchup against the Dallas Cowboys rather than dwelling on the trade talk, even as the deadline approaches.
