In case you missed it, in a recent interview, the Dalai Lama said that Marxism is the answer to all the “problems” with Capitalism. Apparently, His Holiness believes that capitalism creates inequity, and that’s a bad thing.
“In capitalist countries, there is an increasing gap between the rich and the poor. In Marxism, there is emphasis on equal distribution.” ~ Dalai Lama
While it is true, some people do still live in poverty, Marxism will not fix that. Capitalism is still a person’s best hope at rising out of poverty (assuming they have the determination and ingenuity to pull it off!) We have too many success stories to deny it’s reality.
Maybe I missed it, but which modern civilization has successfully embraced and implemented Marxism? And why aren’t we all clamoring to live there? Anyone??
