On Friday, Twitter-X user Mr. Reagan reposted a video depicting the Capitol Police shoving an elderly woman down a set of stairs outside the US Capitol on January 6.
Did the Capitol Police intentionally antagonize J6 protesters?

This act of brutality was, according to those were there, the inciting event for the day’s riot.
Earlier this month, Jeffrey McKellop, a prisoner at J6, spoke to reporters and detailed an event that occurred on January 6.
According to McKellop, the Capitol Police threw an elderly woman 10 feet down a flight of stairs—an act which he believes was planned and orchestrated by the police and federal authorities in order to spark a riot.
NOVA Campaigns released video footage that features McKellop’s account of what happened on January 6.
This footage serves as evidence of the extreme measures taken by the Capitol Police that day.
