On Thursday, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office made public distressing body camera footage of the assault on two NYPD officers in Times Square that occurred in January.
The video reveals the moment when the officers approached a crowd of undocumented immigrants blocking the sidewalk near a migrant shelter on West 42nd Street, requesting them to vacate the area.
The situation quickly intensified when one officer tried to relocate Yohenry Brito, who his yellow jacket can identify.
As a result, Brito forcefully pushed away the officer’s hands, leading to an ensuing brawl.

According to abc7 News, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg announced on Thursday that a total of seven individuals have been indicted in relation to the assault.
Brito, who was already under indictment, is currently in custody and faces charges such as assault, obstruction, and evidence tampering.
Darwin Andres Gomez-Izquiel, Wilson Juarez, Kelvin Arocha, and Yorman Reveron are among those who have received additional indictments.
They have been charged with assault and obstructing governmental administration.
The identities of two more suspects who have been indicted will not be disclosed until their arraignment.
Law enforcement authorities are actively searching for two other individuals connected to the attack that took place on January 27.
Photos of the suspects have been released to the public. One suspect is described as a man wearing a red hoodie and white hat, standing at approximately 5’9″ tall.
The second suspect is described as wearing a black puffer jacket and red hat, with a height estimated at around 5’7″.
It is worth noting that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who receives funding from Soros, has faced criticism for his decision to release multiple suspects involved in a violent attack on New York City police officers.
Out of the thirteen alleged assailants, seven were arrested and charged with assaulting an officer.
However, the release of the remaining suspects without bail has sparked controversy and raised concerns among law enforcement and the public.
The assailants, Darwin Andres Gomez Izquiel (19), Kelvin Servat Arocha (19), Juarez Wilson (21), Yorman Reveron (24), and Jhoan Boada (22), have all been charged with assault.
Two additional suspects, Yohenry Brito (24) and Jandry Barros (21), were later apprehended and charged with felony assault and robbery. Currently, only Yohenry Brito remains detained at Rikers Island.
These suspects are Venezuelan nationals residing in migrant shelters within the city. Despite their illegal status and lack of local family ties, they were also released without bail.
In a bold display of disrespect, two of the suspects even gestured obscenely towards the press upon their release from court.

Here’s the “poor asylum seekers” who the democrats are allowing into our country. These two were released after attacking NYPD officers and as you can tell they don’t care. They’re on their way back to a free hotel room with free food and a phone.

Bragg defended his actions, stating that the release was based on the evidence available at the time and emphasizing the importance of ensuring the correct individuals were charged.
“While the video is shocking and disturbing, in order to secure convictions in the court of law, it is essential that we conclusively identify each defendant.”
“In Manhattan, we don’t tolerate or accept assaults on police officers. I watched the tape this week. Despicable behavior. It sickened me and outraged me,” the DA claimed.
