According to a leak to NBC News, Judge Engoron is set to announce his decision in the $370 million New York City fraud trial involving Trump this Friday. The trial, which lasted for 11 weeks without a jury, has been described as resembling a Soviet-style show trial.
Judge Engoron had postponed the verdict until mid-February after requesting information regarding potential perjury by Allen Weisselberg, the CFO of Trump Org.
In previous rulings, Engoron determined that Trump had committed fraud and ordered the dissolution of his New York businesses. However, this order was temporarily halted by the New York appellate court.
It’s worth noting that Letitia James, the Attorney General of New York with radical Marxist views, originally sought damages amounting to $250 million from Trump.
She claims that there is no victim in this case of alleged fraud and also aims to prohibit Trump and his sons from conducting any business activities in New York.
James accused Trump of exaggerating his assets and defrauding lenders and insurance companies.
Letitia James not only sought to increase the monetary compensation she wanted Trump to pay, but also aimed for a lifetime prohibition for him from engaging in the real estate industry.
During November, a Deutsche Bank executive testified that it is somewhat uncommon, yet not entirely out of the ordinary, to devalue a client’s assets and still sanction a loan.
This executive had played a role in approving at least one of Trump’s loans.
Trump denounced the prosecution as “election interference on an unprecedented scale.”

State Judge Arthur Engoron, who presided over the $370 million civil fraud case in New York against former President Donald Trump and his company, is expected to issue his verdict in the trial by the end of the week, a person with direct knowledge of the situation told NBC News.
“It is currently anticipated the Engoron decision will be released on Friday, barring unforeseen circumstances,” the person said Tuesday.
President Trump responded to the latest leak.

THIS CROOKED JUDGEMENT WILL BE A DARK AND SAD DAY FOR THE JUSTICE SYSTEM IN NEW YORK STATE. NO DAMAGES, NO VICTIMS – ONLY SUCCESS. CASE ALREADY WON ON APPEAL…WITCH HUNT!!! ELECTION INTERFERENCE!!!” Trump said in a Truth Social post on Wednesday afternoon.
