The New York Times reported that Planned Parenthood Great Rivers, which serves areas of Missouri and Illinois, will position their mobile health clinic near the DNC on August 19 and 20.
The clinic plans to provide medication abortions on both days, while vasectomies will only be offered on Mondays.

The vasectomy van has seen a significant increase in appointment requests, with potential clients quickly joining a waitlist, according to reports.
Those interested in receiving sterilization procedures must fill out a Google Form, providing personal information such as their name, birthdate, and contact details to secure their spot.
Planned Parenthood has stated on the Google Form that services will be offered at a sliding-fee scale, demonstrating a dedication to delivering healthcare without regard to financial limitations.
As for those seeking medication abortions, they can also sign up online, with no current waitlist for either day, allowing walk-ins without prior appointments.
There is speculation that Vice President Kamala Harris could be the Democratic presidential nominee in 2024.
She has been a strong supporter of abortion rights since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade on June 24, 2024.
During her time as vice president, Harris launched a nationwide pro-abortion campaign that began in Wisconsin on January 22, 2024, the 51st anniversary of Roe v. Wade.
In a White House announcement titled “Fight for Reproductive Freedoms,” Harris stressed the importance of abortion as one of the fundamental freedoms in America.
Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, are expected to discuss abortion issues at the DNC.
Prior to the convention, pro-abortion groups have arranged demonstrations the night before.
Reports suggest that advocates for abortion rights took legal action against Chicago in May after the city declined to issue permits for marches related to the event, according to ABC7 Chicago.
One of the visual demonstrations planned includes the display of a large “inflatable IUD,” a contraceptive method that activists have playfully dubbed “Freeda Womb,” as detailed by The New York Times.
In anticipation of potential disturbances outside the DNC, more than twelve local businesses in Chicago have taken measures to secure their establishments by boarding up windows and doors with plywood, as reported by WGN9 in response to the upcoming protests.
The Democratic National Convention is set to begin on Monday and will run through Thursday, creating an electric political environment as diverse agendas and ideologies come together during the gathering.
