Sunday’s NFL slate includes two notable matchups with playoff implications: the Las Vegas Raiders traveling to San Francisco to face a rested 49ers team, and the Green Bay Packers visiting the New England Patriots in Foxborough.
San Francisco enters at 6-1, coming off a bye week, with one of the most efficient offenses in the league. The 49ers convert 86.4% of their red-zone trips into scores, the best rate in the NFL. Las Vegas is 4-4 after a 38-33 win over the New York Jets, but the Raiders have allowed more points than they’ve scored this season and are playing their last game before their own bye week.
In Foxborough, two 5-3 teams with contrasting styles meet. Green Bay has thrown for 2,168 yards through eight games, the most in the league, though its running game has struggled. The Packers come in with extra rest after a 27-19 win over Carolina on Thursday night in Week 8.
New England has been especially strong at home, going 3-0 at Gillette Stadium while averaging more than 30 points per game there and allowing just 13. The Patriots are coming off a 24-19 win in Miami, with tight end Hunter Henry serving as a consistent target in an offense that has scored 22 touchdowns this season.
Sunday’s schedule also includes the Cincinnati Bengals facing the Atlanta Falcons in Madrid, the New York Giants playing the Philadelphia Eagles in the early window, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers taking on the Chicago Bears in Sunday Night Football.
