Trump Orders 1,000 Missiles Locked, Warns Iran Of Retaliation

President Trump warned that an assassination attempt by Iran would trigger a massive U.S. response, laying out specific orders and warning Tehran that the military is prepared to strike hard if the Islamic Republic moves against him.

President Donald Trump issued a stark warning that any Iranian attempt on his life, successful or not, would prompt a sweeping military response. He used blunt language to describe both the scale of the planned retaliation and the time frame for U.S. readiness.

On Truth Social late Friday he wrote, “1000 Missiles are Locked and Loaded and aimed at the Islamic Republic of Iran, with thousands of more to immediately follow, should the Iranian Government act on its threat, pronounced in many corners of the Globe, to assassinate, or attempt to assassinate, the sitting President of the United States of America, in this case, ME!”

He added, “Orders have already been given, and the U.S. Military is ready, willing, and able, for a one year period of time, subject to extension, to completely decimate and destroy all areas of Iran – PRAISE BE TO ALLAH!”

The president also told the New York Post that he has “left instructions” in case Iran were to succeed in killing him, signaling preparations beyond public statements. That phrase underscores the administration’s stance that contingency planning reaches to the highest levels and that orders are in place before a crisis breaks out.

Trump has repeatedly said he is seen as Iran’s top target for political assassination while criticizing the credibility of their negotiators. He has also made it clear that a temporary ceasefire is no longer being treated as settled while talks with Tehran continue.

In recent days the administration set a tight demand: it wanted a clear statement from Iran that the Strait of Hormuz remains open to commercial traffic. That demand came after Iran was accused of striking cargo ships in the waterway, raising regional shipping and security alarms.

Iran, for its part, has pushed back and denied breaking the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two sides last month. Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi posted a defense on X asserting his country’s compliance and pointing fingers at U.S. actions.

“Iran has so far kept its word, unlike the so-called U.S. Treasury Secretary who is violating Para 9 of the MoU,” Araghchi wrote, framing the dispute as a matter of mutual obligations and reciprocal compliance.

He followed that up with: “That violation follows other violations and missteps by the United States. Reality check: There can only be mutual compliance.” Those comments reflect Tehran’s effort to shift blame back onto Washington while rejecting accusations of bad faith.

Back in Washington, the administration’s public posture mixes deterrence and readiness, with the president emphasizing decisive action if provoked. Officials have signaled that military options are being kept on the table to ensure Iran understands the costs of any move against U.S. leadership or regional stability.

The president’s immediate weekend schedule shows no public events, with both days planned at the White House and no major appearances listed. He occasionally spends time golfing at the Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia, or visits one of his private properties when not on official duty.

For Republican supporters, the message reads as straightforward: show strength, make clear the consequences, and keep the military posture assertive to prevent escalation. From that angle, the public warning is intended to deter Tehran and reassure allies that the U.S. will respond forcefully if necessary.
