Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark returned to Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, watching the Kansas City Chiefs from a suite alongside Taylor Swift as the team improved to 5-0 with a 22-6 win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
Swift, wearing a red turtleneck sweater, sat near Clark and musician Este Haim during the game, which was broadcast on CBS. Cameras caught the group reacting as Travis Kelce hauled in a catch over the middle. Kelce finished the afternoon with four catches for 53 yards. Running back Kenneth Walker III carried the offense, rushing 19 times for 128 yards and two touchdowns.
Swift and Kelce, who married earlier this year, had spent the previous week in New York City celebrating Kelce’s 37th birthday during the Chiefs’ Week 5 bye. On Saturday night, Swift attended the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles, a fundraiser for the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, before appearing at Arrowhead the next day.
This was not the first time Clark has joined Swift for a Chiefs game. The two sat together in the suite roughly a year ago alongside other guests, including Kelce’s father, Ed Kelce.
Clark, who has described herself as a longtime Chiefs fan, addressed speculation about the pair’s courtside conversations last summer after a clip of her talking with Swift during a January 2025 playoff game went viral. Asked about it on Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe’s “A Touch More” podcast, Clark explained she had simply been breaking down the action.
“Honestly, I love football, and I know a lot about football,” Clark said. “So, I was telling her why they threw a flag or like — but in the best way. Like, I don’t even know everything. I was just explaining things, but, yeah, that was really fun. I’m a big Chiefs fan. So, getting to spend time with Taylor, and then also Travis played really well that game — the Chiefs won, it was the playoffs.”
Clark also told ESPN in May 2025 that Swift “treats everybody with the same amount of kindness.”
While Clark enjoyed her Sunday at Arrowhead, her own season ended earlier than she would have liked. The Fever lost to the Las Vegas Aces in the first round of the WNBA playoffs, falling 94-83 in Game 3, a game in which Clark shot just 6 of 18 from the field, including 3 of 12 from three-point range. Still, she closed out another strong season, averaging 22.3 points and 8.3 assists across 40 games and earning her third All-Star selection.
With the Fever out of contention, the WNBA Finals are underway between the Atlanta Dream and the Golden State Valkyries, who took Game 1 at home over the weekend. Game 2 was set for Monday night in Golden State.
